Learn the routine
Repeat the station-to-platform-to-seat sequence on manageable eastbound stages.

Rail journeys · 14 nights
The Tokaido corridor, regional stops and a waterfront pause.
The idea behind the journey
Begin with the short airport train to Rinku Town, then work east through Nagoya, Hamamatsu and Shizuoka. A longer pause in Yokohama balances the one-night rail stops before the final Tokyo and Haneda stays. This is the earlier overland route idea, kept as its own journey alongside the revised November field programme.
Looking for the November working trip? The revised field programme follows Rinku Town, central Osaka, Atami, Tokyo and Haneda. This overland journey is a separate earlier route idea.

Three nights by the bay give the route a settled middle-to-late chapter.
